Pharmacy Technician Prescription Safety Workbook
Practice spotting discrepancies before a prescription draft advances.
The Prescription Safety Practice Workbook gives pharmacy technician students 24 original fictional cases for practicing careful comparison, safe next steps, and clear pharmacist handoffs.
Review patient identifiers, product strengths, routes, directions, quantities, decimal notation, units, barcode alerts, expiration dates, near misses, and unresolved questions. Some cases contain matching information, helping you distinguish an actual discrepancy from an unsupported assumption.
What is included
- 24 case worksheets with space for written responses.
- Explained answers for every case, including the issue, risk, next step, model handoff, and prevention habit.
- A four-step review method and a complete worked example.
- A reusable practice worksheet, missed-idea log, and 24-case progress tracker.
- A quick study checklist and links to official safety references.
How to use it
Read the method and worked example, then complete a few cases before checking their explanations. Record what you missed and revisit those cases later. Practice scores help organize review; they do not establish examination readiness or workplace competence.
